Giving Thanks

In spite of this unseasonal warm weather, I am definitely — and defiantly — in the late autumn spirit! The best part of November in the northeast is the vibrant colors and falling leaves. I savor morning walks through the woods near my house… the frost, the crunch of the brown, orange, red and yellow leaves under your feet, and the drama of those bare branches against the sky.

This Thanksgiving, I am really loving nature-themed jewelry that reflects my favorite flora from all over the country. These designs can be worn with almost anything, and add refinement to the coziest sweaters and flannels.

This season also makes me think about all the people in my life that I’m thankful for: my friends, my family, my co-workers, customers and everyone else who has supported me over the past year.

In honor of the holiday, this “tree of life” necklace from Cynthia Gale is a sweet reminder that seasons come and go, but if we’re grounded in our traditions and loving communities, new beautiful leaves will flourish come springtime.
